My dad left a successful career in the corporate world to start his own business. Watching my parents grow that business literally out of our garage, was really instrumental in sort of forging my future in real estate.
When I was 25 I hadn’t bought or sold a property yet but I was still aware of the negative stigma that came with it. It was an opportunity to expand out and build a reputation as a truly great advisor and build a business based on that ethos.
I wasn’t connected in the corporate sense, and it basically means working 7 days a week for well over 2 years straight, just like my parents did, that hard work ultimately paid off.
My wife and I always enjoyed travelling and we didn’t want that to change, even with kids, long before she even turned the age of 1 my daughters passport was heavily marked, we want them even at a young age to experience other cultures. We think that’s what life is really all about and those kind of memories will last a lifetime.
We love raising the kids in this city, there’s such a wealth of things to do, it’s a mecca for world class dining, shopping, entertainment. Being a Toronto boy born and bred for 41 years now, you really get to know your city. I’m able to apply that knowledge and help my clients, it’s not always about the dollars and cents but the lifestyle that comes with a purchasing a property that can make a huge impact on people’s lives.
