A Musical Weekend in the Alpine

Music in the Mountains – August 6, 2011

Sun Peaks, BC (July 21, 2011) –Music is a universal tool of communication. It triggers emotions and can ignite a passion in a person simply with a combination of notes played a certain way on an instrument.

Music in the Mountains returns to Sun Peaks Resort this summer with the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra (KSO) on Saturday, August 6. The KSO, celebrating 35 years of musical growth this season, will bring over 45 musicians to fill the mountains with the sweet sounds of Mendelssohn, Mussorgsky, Strauss, Bizet, and more.

An outdoor concert, guests will relax and enjoy the natural surroundings of the three area peaks. Please bring a picnic blanket, cushion, or small deck chair and a warm jacket. The concert will be held rain or shine.

Music in the Mountains takes place Saturday, August 6 from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children, and free for kids under 8.
