Announcing Sun Peaks’ 2011 Snow Bum Winner
Brandy Rogers of Washington State awarded top prize
Sun Peaks, BC (March 1, 2011) – After reviewing photographic entries from around the world, the Sun Peaks jury has selected Brandy Rogers, of Washington State, as the official winner of Snow Bum 2: The Snapshot.
Brandy was selected from over 160 entrants from across the globe, including Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, Canada and the UK, who submitted snapshots online at www.snowbumcanada.com with the hope of winning a six night stay at Sun Peaks Resort in the BC Interior, plus a full day of filming with a professional videographer.
“The contest challenged contestants to submit a photo that demonstrated their passion for winter and the Snow Bum lifestyle. Brandy’s did that without question and was full of fun and creativity,” says Melanie Simmons, Media Relations and Communications Specialist with Tourism Sun Peaks. “The image of Brandy being towed by a dirt bike as she rides her board down sand…in a bikini, no less…is an amazing image- and a wonderful testament to all things Snow Bum.”
Brandy’s grand prize includes six nights’ accommodation at Sun Peaks Resort for her and three friends, plus a full day on the slopes with Kevin Hagell of Kaizen Visuals filming an exclusive winter-themed video! Kevin is a highly regarded sport videographer who has worked with the likes of Adidas, Scion and Von Zipper and is also the creator of Sun Peaks’ own winter promotional video. The prize also includes $1000 airfare per person for Brandy and her three friends.
Brandy will be coming to Sun Peaks within the next 6 weeks to redeem her prize.
