Next Terrain Park Event: March 15, 2009
February 27, 2009 – Sun Peaks, BC – Almost 100 competitors between the ages of 11 and 33 gathered at Sun Peaks for The Garden at Sun Peaks on February 15. Deemed a huge success by Oronge Board Shop and the Sun Peaks Terrain Park crew, there were tons of new faces from as far away as Saskatchewan for this annual event.
Over $560.00 was raised in donations that will go directly to the Bluebird Day Fund, an organization that provides local riders and park skiers with support and resources to assist with growth and development in their respective sports.
The energy from The Garden will no doubt continue for Shredidential Election ’09, a slopestyle event presented by Oronge Board Shop on March 15, 2009. Taking place in the advanced terrain park, competitors in the qualifying round will get two chances to show the judges their best tricks. The top athletes who make it to the finals will also get two runs, with judges taking the best run into account as they pick the winner. There is $1000 in cash on the line and thousands of dollars more in prizing, so don’t miss it!
