Casting Closes on Snow Bum 2: The Snapshot
Top 20 Finalists & Popular Vote Winner Announced
Sun Peaks, BC (February 22, 2011) – Casting is now officially closed for Snow Bum 2: The Snapshot. Over the course of 13 ½ weeks, 164 Snow Bum hopefuls from around the world submitted their Snapshot in hopes of winning the jury-determined Grand Prize from Sun Peaks Resort or the Most Votes prize based on popular-vote. During this same window over 21,000 people logged onto www.snowbumcanada.com to check out the submissions and vote for their favourites.
At a staggering 4475 votes, Alberta’s Nomurai took home the popular vote prize. As the people’s choice, Normurai will be among the first in the world to own the Revolutionary BBR Skis from Salomon, or a Salomon snowboard. The prize package also includes bindings, boots, pants and a jacket from the sought-after brand.
Sun Peaks’ panel of judges have also narrowed down the submissions to the Top 20 Finalists. To determine these finalists, the judges were looking for creativity, uniqueness, and passion for winter.
The Top 20 are in the running to win the Grand Prize, which includes six nights’ accommodation at Sun Peaks Resort for the winner and three friends, plus a full day on the slopes with Kevin Hagell of Kaizen Visuals filming an exclusive winter-themed video! Kevin is a highly regarded sport videographer who has worked with the likes of Adidas, Scion and Von Zipper and is also the creator of Sun Peaks’ own winter promotional video. The prize also includes $1000 airfare per person for the winner and their three friends.
