Exclusivity at Sun Peaks Resort during two weekly events
First Trax & Fondue begin this week!
Sun Peaks, BC (December 13, 2010) – Imagine carving down a run of pristine corduroy, lit only by the moonlight and a headlamp, or carving the first line down the mountain on a powder day. Exclusive access to Sun Peaks is granted twice a week this winter during two signature events, the First Trax Breakfast and the Fondue Dinner & Evening Descent.
The First Trax Breakfast takes place every Wednesday, beginning on December 15, and the Fondue Dinner & Evening Descent runs Thursday evenings beginning December 16.
The First Trax Breakfast gets snow seekers up the chairlift before anyone else. New this winter, participants get to spend the first hour of the day riding the Crystal Chairlift. Rip through the trees, challenge yourself on Headwalls, or shred through powder in the bowl. No lift-lines, no crowds, no tracks marking up the terrain. After making your mark, head to the mid-mountain Sunburst Lodge to fuel up on a hearty breakfast.
As the sun sets on Sun Peaks, there’s another opportunity to indulge both your taste buds and your desire for snow. The Fondue Dinner & Evening Descent experience begins with a trip up the Sunburst Chairlift to Sunburst Lodge where you are enveloped into a cozy, intimate evening. Chat with friends, old and new, as you dine on a delightful fondue dinner with live music. Just when you think it’s over, a decadent chocolate fondue dessert appears. Then get set for an exhilarating trip down the torch lit slopes of Tod Mountain. With a headlamp, a glowstick and a guide leading the way, feel the ripple of fresh corduroy as you carve your way home under the stars.
Cherish the moment, pick your line, and make your mark on Sun Peaks.
