Farmers' Market returns to Sun Peaks

Farmers’ Market returns to Sun Peaks

Sundays from 2:30pm to 6:30pm

Sun Peaks, BC (June 7, 2011) – Fresh, local produce is returning to the Sun Peaks Village with the opening of the Sun Peaks & Region Farmers’ Market for the summer season. This Sunday, June 12 is the first Sun Peaks Farmers’ Market of the season!

Local farmers, ranchers and artisans will be selling fruits, veggies, local meats, seafood, arts, crafts, beauty products, and more! And while you’re shopping, enjoy live musical entertainment in the village square.

This summer, the market hours have changed to 2:30pm to 6:30pm each Sunday. Many international guests arriving on bus tours don’t arrive until late afternoon, so the adjusted times will give them an opportunity to enjoy the market.

“We also did a survey of Sun Peaks residents and many of them expressed that they would be more likely to attend the market if it was scheduled later in the afternoon,” explains Janice Nankivell, Farmers’ Market Manager with Tourism Sun Peaks.

The Sun Peaks & Region Farmers’ Market takes place every Sunday from June 12 to September 11 from 2:30pm to 6:30pm.
