Last Chance to be Cast in Snow Bum 2: The Snapshot!
Skiers and riders from around the world compete to be cast in a personalized video production! Entry deadline: Feb. 20, 2011
Sun Peaks, BC (February 15, 2011) – With only five days left before casting closes on Snow Bum 2: The Snapshot, thousands of people from around the world are logging on to www.snowbumcanada.com to submit their photos and to vote on their favourite pictures.
Two incredible prizes are up for grabs. The Snow Bum whose pic receives the most votes will be among the first in the world to own the Revolutionary BBR Skis fromSalomon. The prize package also includes bindings, alpine boots, pants and a jacket from the sought-after brand. A snowboard package is also available should the winner prefer one plank over two.
The Grand Prize winner, whose photo will be selected by a panel of Sun Peaks judges, will receive a trip to the resort, including six nights’ accommodation for themselves and three friends. While there, Kevin Hagell of Kaizen Visuals will spend a full day on the slopes with them, filming an exclusive winter-themed video! Kevin is a highly regarded sport videographer who has worked with the likes of Adidas, Scion and Von Zipper and is also the creator of Sun Peaks’ own winter promotional video.
Since the contest launched in mid-November, 130 hopeful Snow Bums from around the world have submitted their photo. Among the countries represented so far are Australia, Belgium, Norway, Brazil, Canada and the United States! As the contest gets ready to close, the site has seen thousands of visitors logging on from more than 60 countries to upload their pictures and vote for their favourite shots.

Photos must be uploaded onto www.snowbumcanada.com by Sunday, February 20, 2011. Sun Peak’s panel of judges will award the “Most Votes Winner” on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 and the Top 20 Finalists will be announced on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 as well. The grand prize winner of “The Snapshot” will be announced on March 1st, 2011 for prize redemption between March and April 2011 (end of winter season).
