New Activity Takes Flight at Sun Peaks
Helicopter Tours offered through the Adventure Centre
Sun Peaks, BC (December 17, 2010) – The Sun Peaks Adventure Centre has teamed up with Lakehead Helicopters from Chase, BC to offer exhilarating tours for guests visiting the resort.
Lakehead is offering two different helicopter tours one with a spectacular aerial view of the Sun Peaks mountains, and another providing guests with a phenomenal experience over the Shuswap/Adams River area.
“We are really excited to partner with Lakehead and offer our guests another non-ski adventure they can enjoy during their winter stay at Sun Peaks,” says Janice Nankivell, Adventure Centre Supervisor with Tourism Sun Peaks.
Sun Peaks Circle Tour
A 15 minute scenic tour over the mountains of Sun Peaks and around the beautiful McGillivray Lake before heading back to the landing pad. Cost: $140.00 per person.
Adams River Tour
A 50 minute tour giving guests the ultimate viewing experience of BC’s beautiful interior. The tour leaves from Sun Peaks Resort and flies over Adams River, Shuswap Lake, Little Shuswap, the Thompson River, Neskonlith Lake and McGillivray Lake. The tour includes a low fly over of Adams River where the salmon run takes place every year. Cost: $320.00 per person.
