Sold out events at the 4th Annual Wine and Culture Festival

Sun Peaks, BC (July 19, 2011) –The 4th Annual Wine and Culture Festival is being declared a huge success after three events were sold out and others were near capacity last weekend.

The boutique festival is a natural fusion of wine, local cuisine, arts and crafts, and eclectic musical performances, and drew visitors from Kamloops, the Lower Mainland and Washington.

The ever-popular Symphony of Flavours on the Friday evening kicked off the festival to a sold out crowd as guests enjoyed tapas and boutique wines while enjoying music from the Kamloops Symphony Chamber Musicians. Also sold out was the Saturday evening Salmon BBQ up at the mid-mountain restaurant, and the Art Walk that took place through the Sun Peaks village.

New for the 2011 festival, the Kamloops Art Gallery partnered with Sun Peaks for the 5th Annual Home Tour: Architectural Spaces. Guests toured four spectacular properties in and around Sun Peaks that were staged by professional designers from Kamloops.

Quilting in the Mountains was also a large draw this summer, with people taking part in two-day quilt classes and enjoying a spectacular quilt show in the Hearthstone Lodge.

Planning is already underway for the 5th Annual Wine and Culture Festival, scheduled for July 20-22, 2012.
