Sun Peaks Golf Course opens Friday!

Sun Peaks Golf Course opens Friday!

Sun Peaks, BC (May 31, 2011) – Golfers will be heading into the alpine this weekend as the front nine of the Sun Peaks Golf Course opens for the summer season this Friday, June 3. The back nine will open Friday, June 10.

Designed by Graham Cooke, the par 72 course runs through the valley and provides spectacular views of the surrounding Tod, Sundance and Morrisey mountains.

Golf officials say they are hopeful to have the back nine open in another week. “Superintendent Keith Lyall has been working hard to get the front nine open as scheduled this Friday,” says Jamie Tattersfield, Mountain Operations Manager. “Due to the less than stellar spring weather, there will be a one week delay on the back nine until June 10 to ensure it’s in good shape for golfers.”

Green fees for 9 holes, including a power cart, start at $42 for midweek rounds (Mon-Thurs) or $53 for weekends (Fri-Sun, holidays).

The golf experience gets even better with two special summer packages: ‘All You Can’ Monday and Friday Nine & Dine*. The All You Can package gets you unlimited golf and unlimited pasta at Masa’s Bar + Grill on Mondays for only $75 (including power cart). Or, for a perfect Friday night out with friends, take in a peaceful 9 holes of golf and then enjoy dinner at Masa’s Bar + Grill for $69 (including power cart). *Friday Nine & Dine begins July 2.
