Sun Peaks, BC (June 24, 2011) – Excitement is building for the first day of downhill mountain biking and alpine hiking at Sun Peaks Resort. The Sunburst Chairlift starts turning at 10:00am Thursday, June 30.
From steep and technical downhill runs to berm loaded machine-made trails…the options are endless, but when it comes to single track, no other park does it better. Dozens of kilometres of flowing single track trails loaded with natural and man-made features await riders of all abilities. With no lift lines and 29 trails to cover, grab your bike and spend the weekend discovering the Bike Park!
New for 2011! The Bike Park Trail Card gives you a chance to pre-purchase 3 or 5 days of riding to save some cash. And the riding days do not have to be used consecutively, so pick and choose when you want to ride. Plus, once you use up your 3 or 5 days, you can purchase full day lift tickets at discounted rates for the rest of the 2011 season! Call Guest Services to reserve your card at 250-578-5474.
For those looking for a less extreme outdoor adventure, with the opening of the Sunburst Chairlift means access to 15 varied hiking trails, ranging from flat and easy strolls, to advanced hikes up to the Top of the World.
