Toonie Day at Sun Peaks…
…more than just Skiing!
Sun Peaks, BC (December 2, 2010) – Residents in Kamloops and the surrounding area can ski or board at Sun Peaks for only a toonie and a non-perishable food item on Monday, December 7th.
If you live in Kamloops, 100 Mile House, Merritt, Salmon Arm, Cache Creek, or anywhere within the Thompson Nicola Regional District boundary, you are eligible for Toonie Day on Monday.
But this year, Toonie day goes beyond the slopes as the Sun Peaks Village jumps on board with the $2 dollar theme! Drop by most of the coffee shops in the village for a Toonie coffee, get a $2 wax at Jardines, or check out the $2 treats at Lone Wolf Gallery and Treeline Studios. For a full list of Toonie specials, pick up a copy of the Village Vibe from any restaurant or retail outlet at Sun Peaks.
Proceeds from the Toonie lift tickets will go to the Kamloops Food Bank and the Sun Peaks Health Association. A valid form of identification is required for your Toonie Day ticket.
Sun Fun Tours, through Canada West Coachlines, is once again shuttling guests from Kamloops up to Sun Peaks on weekends this winter and will operate a bonus day on Toonie Day. Regular rates will apply ($25.00/round trip). Check out the website for all of the times and pick-up/drop-off locations!
