Sun Peaks is home to British Columbia’s highest elevation golf course. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Tod, Sundance and Morrisey, this 18-hole, 6,400 yard, Graham Cooke designed par 72 course tests and satisfies golfers of all abilities.

Offering natural beauty, fresh mountain air and spectacular views, the course is set 1,200 metres above sea level so your balls fly farther and the temperature is often cooler than in the valley below.

Hike through brilliantly coloured alpine meadows of wildflowers after being whisked up the Sunburst Chairlift or begin right from the heart of the village. With 16 hiking trails available to explore, a new adventure is literally at your doorstep each day.

Explore our lift-accessed downhill mountain bike park with 38 trails and 2,000 feet of vertical catering to all ages and abilities, or head out on our extensive 32 trail, cross country biking network.

Sun Peaks is a destination where there is always something to do. Choose one or do them all – off-road segway tours, nordic pole walking, horseback riding, tennis, photo shoots or trade dry land for water and try stand-up paddle boarding, rent a canoe/kayak or try world class fly fishing in one of our nearby lakes. It’s all possible here in ‘Canada’s Alpine Village’.

Playing takes on many forms and our community has evolved into a regional hub for weekly festivals and special events from July to September. Listen to live outdoor concerts, stroll in the village and discover shops and cafes, explore the weekly Farmer’s Market or engage in the grandest of all vacation pastimes doing absolutely nothing at all.
